In a gross miscarriage of justice, a jury in San Francisco federal district court has sided with Planned Parenthood over pro-life citizen journalist David Daleiden…
…awarding the abortion giant $1.4 million in damages on racketeering charges, $870,000 in punitive damages and presumably millions of dollars in attorneys’ fees on top of that.
This verdict is the WORST CASE SCENARIO for the young man who spent 30 months leading an undercover investigation that captured video evidence of Planned Parenthood conspiring to illegally harvest and sell aborted baby body parts.
So I’m turning to pro-life Americans like you for urgent help to clear David Daleiden and hold Planned Parenthood accountable.
My name is Tom Brejcha and I’m one of David’s attorneys.
I’m also the president and founder of the Thomas More Society — the non-profit public interest law firm underwriting and spearheading David’s legal defense.
This verdict is a huge setback in our efforts to clear David’s name and get the “gag order” injunction lifted that prevents him from releasing the rest of his video evidence that incriminates Planned Parenthood.
But our team is already working to file an appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on multiple grounds. (The least of which is this trial was presided over by a biased judge with very public ties to Planned Parenthood!)
That’s why I’m prayerfully asking you to consider making a special gift of $35, $50, $100 or more to help us drag more of Planned Parenthood’s dark criminality into the light.
You see, Planned Parenthood will use every trick in the book to drag out the legal action against David as long as possible.
Their goal? To bankrupt us into silence – and never allow the rest of David’s videos to see the light of day.
Planned Parenthood has millions of dollars to spend on lawyers and lobbyists, and they'll stop at nothing to silence David and prevent the truth from coming out.
My friend, altogether David Daleiden has been sued or prosecuted six times!
We already helped David defeat a two-count felony and misdemeanor criminal case brought by the District Attorney of Harris County (Houston), Texas at the behest of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast. And another nasty civil case filed by a baby body parts broker, Stem Express, in Los Angeles has been dismissed.
Right now, David is fighting another felony criminal case and this and two other civil lawsuits.
In fact, we’re waiting for the Judge to issue his ruling on the 14 felony charges David faces in California Criminal Court.
And the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals just issued a ruling against us in the civil lawsuit filed against David by the National Abortion Federation, so the preliminary “gag order” injunction prohibiting David from releasing the rest of his video evidence against Planned Parenthood will remain in effect until that case goes to trial.
David also faces another civil lawsuit filed by anonymous Planned Parenthood personnel in federal court in Seattle, Washington…
…so it probably won’t shock you that we anticipate all of the costs associated with David’s legal defense to exceed $5,000,000.
Now I’m not asking you to write a check for $5,000,000.
