Federal Account

The maximum individual contribution is $5,000 per calendar year. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, federal contractors, foreign nationals and using another person’s funds are prohibited.

State and Independent Expenditure Account

EGA also maintains a State and Independent Expenditure Account (SIE). Contributions to the SIE may be made by individuals and incorporated entities in unlimited amounts. Aggregate contributions exceeding $5,000 or from incorporated entities will be deposited in the SIE account. Contributions by foreign nationals and foreign corporations are prohibited.

Contributions to the federal and SIE accounts of EGA are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to report the name, address, occupation and employer of contributors who donate more than $200 in a calendar year.
